Writing From the Body: Activating the Chakras for Creativity
9-11am Saturday 3 December Dome 2
9-11am Sunday 4 December Dome 2
... off with the words ... will host a series of writing workshops centred on the chakras. These workshops are focused on producing creative works that draw from and reflect collective and individual experience. Numerous techniques and exercises will function to prepare the mind for writing from a variety of states of consciousness. These workshops will be relevant and useful to the experienced and emerging writer alike. The workshops will be delivered in such a way that writers may choose to participate in one or several sessions over the four-day festival. Each workshop will offer a range of activities tailored to produce specific results, and will culminate in the production of writing for personal or public appreciation. Above all, these writings will be both an experiment and a record produced within and of the conference. If possible, participants should bring yoga mats and meditation pillows.
