Plants provide us with the sugars for fermenting alcohol, the medicines to make tinctures and the flavours for making liqueurs. This workshop explores the equipment and methods used to make tinctures, essential oils, and liqueurs (including absinthe).

Torsten is the owner of Shaman Australis Botanicals which specialises in the supply of shamanic and other ethnobotanical plants. He encourages individuals to learn more about the plants that provide us with food and medicine so that the knowledge about them is kept alive and utilised. Torsten brings a scientific approach to herbs and plants that highlights their biology, chemistry and pharmacology, but in a way that is applicable to anyone and in everyday situations.
