Women's Work-the return of the divine feminine to Shamanic Practice.
This workshop has been envisaged as space for women to gather and discuss issues of importance to them within our enthogenic community and to come up with some pragmatic methods to help encourage and support women in entering and participating as etntheogenic principals within the community. We will also explore the best ways the community can support one another and provide encouragement for all members to take an active role in the amazing work being done both in theory and practice and how as a community we can become more balanced and harmonised as a dynamic plant family.
Margaret Cross was born in Queensland in 1963 and raised a god fearing catholic girl in a small country town blessed with an abundance of nature and scarcity of imagination. Escape was the only option and a couple of decades and three daughters and a grandchild later she is a long way from the cane fields. She has a Bac of Sec Education, Grad Dip in Women's Studies and a Masters in Criminology. After a rather dramatic spiritual awakening she was guided by spirit to explore the world of Shamanic plant Medicine. She has done one tour in South America where she attended the 2006 Ayahuasca Conference and received training in the plant medicines. She has been working and training as a Plant Medicine/Shamanic Practitioner, Epiphanic Guide and Studying Common Law for the last 6 years. Margaret is a regular speaker and workshop presenter at Alternative lifestyle Festivals and Australia’s premier Plant Conference Entheogenesis Australis . Along with her partner (Shane Huebner) in change she has been facilitating Shamanic retreats and holding public lectures as Activators, Wisdom Teachers and Paradigm Shifters. Her work with the Travelling Medicine Ceremony is aimed at the liberation of consciousness and a return to Heart centered Vision and Creation.
