Psychedelics and the Geometry of Logic

Synopsis:

Existence holds many secrets; mysteries that haunt the inner landscape of our conscious and unconscious mind. Many of our discoveries and insights simply reveal to us how much more there is to know, or how little we already do. But what is the universe without thought? Can ‘physically objective events’ have any reality without mind? Is awareness itself simply an artefact born of material chance and necessity; or is our definition of awareness too contextually bound by conditioning to ever give answers that are not logically incomplete? From whence does the formative pattern of nature originate, and what is its relationship to the psyche? These questions come to an excruciating poignancy in the psychedelic experience; an alchemical distillation of the fundamental mystery at the centre of the relationship between the self and other. What can such exploration at the frontiers of consciousness reveal about fundamental ontology and the status of mind in nature’s drama? Can the experience shed light upon the arcane mystery at the basis of our quest for understanding? Can the intercession of psychedelic pharmacology reveal the deeper underpinnings of epistemic consistency? Answers always seem mercurial and open ended. Our ability to assimilate the insights of liminal experience into a cogent format for our intellectual consumption has represented but a trickle of the deluge that flows from the fountainhead of experience. However, it is clear that reality yearns to be understood, and that truth may be closer to home than outwardly focused science has conditioned us to believe. Through the highly powerful technology of psychedelia, we can come all that much closer to the mystery, and perhaps the relevancy, of our own mind and being.
